Program Summary

Mathematics as a course is the study of numbers, quantities, structures, space, and change through logical reasoning and abstract thinking. It provides foundational knowledge and problem-solving skills applicable to various fields, including science, engineering, economics, and technology. The course covers a wide range of topics, from basic arithmetic and algebra to more advanced subjects such as calculus, geometry, statistics, and discrete mathematics. It involves both theoretical concepts and practical applications, encouraging analytical thinking and precision. Mathematics also fosters critical reasoning, helping students develop the ability to construct logical arguments, recognize patterns, and solve complex problems. Depending on the level of study, the course may include pure mathematics, which focuses on abstract theories, and applied mathematics, which deals with real-world applications. Throughout the course, students engage in computations, proofs, and modeling to understand mathematical principles and their relevance in various disciplines.
