Program Summary

Arts and Social Sciences education is an interdisciplinary field that explores human culture, society, and behavior through various academic disciplines. It encompasses subjects such as history, literature, philosophy, sociology, political science, anthropology, psychology, and economics, among others. This course develops critical thinking, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of human interactions, institutions, and cultural expressions.  

 

Students engage in both theoretical and practical learning, analyzing historical contexts, social structures, and philosophical ideas while also developing communication, research, and problem-solving skills. The curriculum often includes discussions, case studies, research projects, and fieldwork, allowing students to apply their knowledge to real-world issues.  

 

Graduates of Arts and Social Sciences education can pursue careers in education, public administration, social work, media, research, cultural organizations, and more. The course provides a strong foundation for understanding societal dynamics, fostering creativity, and preparing individuals to contribute meaningfully to various professional and academic fields.

Requirements

UTME SUBJECTS ; English Language and any other three subjects from Arts, Science or Social Sciences. DIRECT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS ; Two 'A’ level passes including Government or History.
