Program Summary

Radiology is a medical course that focuses on the use of imaging techniques to diagnose and treat diseases. It covers various imaging modalities such as X-rays, ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and nuclear medicine. The course integrates knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology to help students interpret medical images accurately.

Students learn about radiation physics, imaging protocols, patient safety, and contrast media used in imaging procedures. They also gain practical experience in handling imaging equipment and analyzing radiographic findings. In addition to diagnostic radiology, the course may include interventional radiology, which involves minimally invasive procedures guided by imaging.

Radiology requires a strong foundation in medical sciences and critical thinking skills to differentiate normal from abnormal findings. The course is typically offered at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with specialization options available for those pursuing advanced studies. Graduates can work in hospitals, diagnostic centers, research institutions, or academic settings, contributing to patient care by providing accurate and timely imaging interpretations.
