Program Summary

Surveying and Geoinformatics Engineering is a field of study that focuses on the measurement, analysis, and management of spatial data related to the Earth's surface. It involves the use of advanced technologies to determine the position, shape, and size of land features, as well as to create accurate maps and models for various applications.

The course integrates principles of mathematics, physics, and computer science with engineering techniques to collect, process, and interpret geospatial data. Students learn about land surveying, geodesy, remote sensing, photogrammetry, cartography, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). They also study modern tools such as GPS, drones, LiDAR, and satellite imaging, which help in mapping and spatial analysis.

A key aspect of the program is its practical approach, which includes fieldwork, laboratory exercises, and computer-based simulations. These hands-on experiences allow students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios in land development, construction, urban planning, disaster management, environmental monitoring, and resource exploration.

Graduates of Surveying and Geoinformatics Engineering are equipped with skills to work in diverse industries, including civil engineering, mining, oil and gas, transportation, agriculture, and government agencies. Their expertise is essential for land administration, infrastructure development, navigation systems, and spatial data management, making them valuable in both public and private sectors.
