Program Summary
The Food Science and Technology Programme aims at adequate training of senior level manpower in food related industries, food research institutions, government, departments and services related to these activities .it also aims at training students who will capable of succefully establishing their own food related enterprises, thereby producing self reliant graduates. The student of food science and technology is exposed to the knowledge of the nature, composition, processing, and quality control, etc designed to equip the learner to grasp food problems in their total condition and to scientifically design a practical solution to them.
Students are exposed to practical work experience in food industries and Food Research institutions as well as the activities of government agencies in the formulation and enforcement of food laws and other related policies.
