Program Summary

Geophysics is a course that applies principles of physics to study the Earth's structure, composition, and processes. It involves using techniques such as seismic, magnetic, gravitational, and electrical methods to investigate what lies beneath the Earth's surface. Topics include plate tectonics, earthquakes, volcanology, exploration geophysics (for oil, gas, and minerals), and environmental geophysics.
