Program Summary

Agricultural Economics and Extension is a course that combines the study of economic principles related to agriculture with the communication and dissemination of agricultural knowledge to farmers and rural communities. It covers topics such as farm management, agricultural marketing, agribusiness, rural development, agricultural policy, and extension methods. Students learn to analyze agricultural production, improve farming efficiency, and support sustainable rural livelihoods through education and outreach. The course prepares graduates for careers as agricultural economists, extension officers, rural development specialists, agribusiness consultants, and policy analysts in government, NGOs, and agricultural organizations.

 

 

Requirements

candidates need a minimum of five O'level credits, including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science, and one other relevant subject (Physics, Economics, or Geography), in no more than two sittings.
