Program Summary

Criminology and Security Studies is a course that examines the nature, causes, consequences, and prevention of crime, as well as strategies for maintaining public safety and security. It covers areas such as criminal behavior, law enforcement, forensic science, criminal justice systems, terrorism, cybercrime, intelligence gathering, and conflict resolution. Students learn to analyze crime trends, assess security risks, and develop crime prevention strategies. The course prepares graduates for careers in law enforcement, private security, intelligence agencies, corrections, forensic investigation, policy-making, and homeland or corporate security services.

 

 

Requirements

candidates need at least five credit passes in relevant subjects at the SSCE (or equivalent) level, including English Language, Mathematics, and Government or Civic Education, plus two other subjects.
