Program Summary

Fisheries and Aquaculture is a course that focuses on the study, management, and sustainable use of aquatic resources. It covers areas such as fish biology, aquaculture production, fish farming techniques, aquatic ecology, water quality management, and fisheries economics. The program trains students to rear, harvest, and manage fish and other aquatic organisms for food and commercial purposes. Graduates can work as fish farm managers, aquaculture specialists, marine resource officers, or researchers in government agencies, private farms, and environmental organizations.

 

 

Requirements

Specifically, you'll need credit-level passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, and Physics at WASSCE/NECO/NABTEB. Additionally, a pass in Geography or Economics is required.
