Program Summary
Common and Islamic Law is a combined legal discipline that studies both the principles of common law (used in many Western legal systems) and Islamic law (Sharia). As a course, it covers subjects such as constitutional law, criminal law, Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh), contract law, family law, and legal interpretation from both perspectives. Students learn to understand and apply dual legal systems in contexts where both are practiced. It prepares them for careers in legal practice, judiciary, public administration, and advisory roles in multicultural or Islamic legal environments.
