Program Summary

Guidance and Counseling is a course that trains students to support individuals in making educational, career, and personal decisions. It covers topics such as psychology, counseling techniques, career development, and emotional support strategies. The course prepares students to work as counselors in schools, communities, and organizations, helping people overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

 

 

Requirements

A minimum of five credit passes in SSCE (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) are required. These passes should be obtained at no more than two sittings. English Language: English Language is a compulsory subject in the credit passes. Relevant Subjects: The other four credit passes should be in subjects relevant to Guidance and Counseling, as specified by the faculty. UTME: Candidates must have written and passed the UTME. UTME Score: The UTME score must meet or exceed the minimum prescribed national cut-off mark, which is typically 180.
