Program Summary

Physics is the scientific study of matter, energy, and the fundamental forces of nature. It seeks to understand the behavior of the universe, from the smallest particles to the vastness of space. Through concepts such as motion, energy, force, and the laws that govern them, physics provides insights into how the world works on both a macroscopic and microscopic level. The discipline includes topics like mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, quantum mechanics, and relativity, offering a broad understanding of the natural world. Physics relies heavily on mathematical models and experimental data to explain and predict natural phenomena. It is not only foundational to other sciences but also critical in developing technologies that drive innovation and societal progress. Studying physics fosters critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and an appreciation for the complexity of the universe.
