Program Summary

Requirements

For B.Sc Mass Communication, candidates may be admitted into the programme either at 100 Level (Regular UTME) or at 200 Level (Direct Entry). (a) 100 Level Admissions Candidates for 100 level must have obtained: -Five ‘O’Level Credit in English Language, Mathematics, Government/History/Civic Education, Economics/Commerce/Financial Accounting, any Nigerian Language, and CRS/IRS plus Use of English, Government/History/Economics and any other subject at UTME level. -Registered the following subjects and sat for the examinations through the JAMB UTME: Use of English, Government, History/Agriculture and any one of Economics or Mathematics. -High enough scores in the JAMB UTME to meet or exceed the cut-off point set for the year in which their applications are being considered. (b) 200 Level (Direct Entry) Admissions Candidates for 200 Level (Direct Entry) admission must fulfill the following: -Diploma in Mass Communication from A.B.U or any recognized University with a minimum of Merit Pass or IJMB of A.B.U in at least 3 Subjects with minimum of ‘C’ grade passes which must include Government/History, Economics or any Nigerian Languages. -Five ‘O’Level Credit in English Language, Mathematics, Government/History/Civic Education, Economics/Commerce/Financial Accounting, any Nigerian Language, and CRS/IRS.
